Ferrosilicon alloy also known as ferrosilicon is mainly used as deoxidizer or alloy element additive, silicon content in 8.0% - 95.0% range of iron and silicon alloy. According to the silicon content of 45%, 65%, 75% and 90% varieties, iron silicon according to its Si and impurities are divided into 21 grades. Role of ferrosilicon alloy: (1) used as deoxidizer and alloy agent in steelmaking industry. (2) used as inoculant and spheroidizing agent in the cast iron industry. (3) as reducing agent in ferroalloy and magnesium production.
